Hamilton College's Diversity Requirement

Hamilton College has introduced a new diversity requirement to a great deal of controversy, with some crying foul over what they see as the leftism inherent in the requirement. To some extent, the responses are unfair: the requirement has some serious prima facie appeal, since, all else being equal, ideological diversity is a very good thing and may help us with the pursuit of truth. But there are some significant problems with the proposal.
